AAFES - Army & Air Force Exchange DeCA- Defense Commissary Agency NEXCOM - Navy Exchange MCX - Marine Corps Exchange CGES - Coast Guard Exchange Service VCS - Veterans Canteen Service AFMWR - Air Force Morale Welfare and Recreation AMWR- Army Morale Welfare and Recreation Department of Homeland Security Department of Veteran Affairs MWR Morale, Welfare, and Recreation activities *and any agencies the Department of Defense or other governmental agencies identify as requiring certification Please do not contact the Resale Agency(s). The role of the Resale Agency(s) is to ensure the Supplier(s) and their Contractor(s) are compliant with requirements outlined by the Department of Defense and other Federal oversight agencies.

Who is the American Logistics Association?
The American Logistics Association has for 100+ years been viewed as a resource center for its members and non-members providing goods and services to the Resale Agencies. The ALA has been selected by the DoD to develop and provide the ALA SYNTHESISTM platform as a focal point to ensure the importance of compliance is understood for both Suppliers and Contractors who want to do business or do business with the Military Resale Agencies. |
If my company is a Supplier and/or Contractor to ALL or some of the Military Resale (DeCA and/or Exchanges) do I need to fulfill the Compliance Requirements for each?
The ALA SYNTHESISTM platform provides access to all of the Resale Agencies by use of your DUNS number indicating if your company is compliant and certified or in the process of finalizing the certification process. |
Why as a Supplier and/or Contractor do I have to be compliant and receive a certificate of passing on the issues presented in the platform?
The compliance platform includes questions that mandate your self-attestation of compliance. These questions arise due to laws passed by Congress, Executive Orders signed by the President or agencies, and/or memorandums or directives from government agencies or the White House aimed at tackling pressing issues in today's dynamic world. The ALA SYNTHESISTMplatform is a resource for prescient issues but is NOT the definitive resource. As a representative of your company, you must comprehend the topics and honestly answer the questions through attestation using all available resources, including professional advice. |

What does self-attestation mean?
Self-attesting a document means verifying the document by yourself. Self-attestation empowers you to vouch for the authenticity of a document without the help of a public notary. It usually involves placing your signature on a document and writing “true copy-self attested”. |
Is registering on the ALA SYNTHESIS an EZ process?
Yes! Please find below the 7 EZ steps for Suppliers and Contractors to register and complete the ALA SYNTHESISTM platform for Certification. Suppliers and Contractors follow this link 2) Create an account by entering your email address 3) You will receive a code to create a password 4) Create a password 5) Once inside the portal it will direct you to register your company. Please review Question 1 of the FAQs'. 6) Once you complete the registration, payment is required or you will be provided a code. Please review the FAQ Question addressing "Compliance Requirements". 7) After payment is received you will be directed back to the ALA SYNTHESISTM platform. Once all sections indicate compliance you will receive a certificate in the form of a QR code put a picture here Most importantly please keep in mind these compliance requirements and your certification are the insurance to our National Security! |

How often can I take or re-take the ALA SYNTHESIS Questions to ensure your company receives certification?
You can take and re-take ALA SYNTHESISTM to answer the question(s) as many times as you need to ensure your company is compliant. The process is designed to ask and address any shortcomings in your company’s compliance. Once all of the standards are addressed, you will be certified. |
